Have you checked your brake fluid level?

check the switch pigtail under the ebrake area could be a bad/stuck ebrake switch, also to see if your pistons are stuck. just lift the wheels up and turn wheels. you should have alittle noise as you spin wheels, but very minimal. i dont think the piston have a sensor so to me it seems to be at the switch then to the cables. maybe the cable is stuck aswell.

Have you checked the plug under your center console? Make sure the switch isn't being activated.

my em1 was doing the same thing, it would stay on...and then when I pulled the ebrake up all the way, held it, then slammed it to the ground, it would turn off(sometimes it would have this baby glow to it). After driving about 3 miles, it would turn back on. I replaced the brake reservoir cap and it hasn't came back on ever since. I was told that the cap failure was a common problem.
