Default Problem with 02 Civic headlight bulbs

Hi HT. The problem with my fathers 02 civic is that the low beam on the passenger side headlight is out. What confuses me is that the high beams work.. The 02 civics only use one light bulb for high and low beams right? because i only see one socket. Is it possible for the low beam to stop working, while at the same time hight beams work? Should i go ahead and replace the bulb, or is there some other problem that i should know of?

Thanks in advance.

BTW i drive an 95 accord, which has separate bulbs for low and high. Which is why i am unsure about the civic.

its one bulb yes, but there 2 elements in the bulb, high and low. you need a new bulb.
