H22a type-s into eg question's
I was wondering if there is anything different with the type-s compared to 200hp h22a as far as fitment.
Any difference with wiring if i run a p28 chipped for the H?What about IAB's.should i elimate them with a blacktrax spacer. And as far as egr,I just disconnect, block off,and leave wired to avoid throwin a code????
I had it all worked out,but now going with the S and there's no info.
Thanks

It's the same engine, with higher compression (11) and bigger cams. -> no fitment problems...
If you are going to use P28, P30 you'll have to eliminate the IAB's. You can disconnect the hose from the diagraph if im correct. But with the P72 you can open them from your ecu.
Good luck..

"no fittment problems" is missleading. The JDM H22 Type S has an ATTS electronic diff on the block like the USDM SH model. You want to get a JDM H22 SIR S spec, thats the motor that has the S specs w/ LSD and not the ATTS unit. You can use the Type S but you'de have to use a different trans and modify a mid-shaft to mount on the block.
Thanks for the info guys.
I asked the guy at the shop and he said it has a straight oil filter, which from my understanding the type-s in angled up,pointing to the IM.s-spec is straight like the rest of the H blocks.and ill be running a m2b4 tranny.

I called blacktrax and they said there spacer will work on the type-s/s-spec manifold.
Just so i know, how and what do i do to handle the atts crap.
