Type R color codes
hi yall.
i just bought a 98 CX hatch. and want to paint it JDM CTR yellow.
i was wondering the Civic Type R Yellow is phoenix yellow (y56) or spa yellow (y52p) ? or anything else. i have googled and searched the H-T forum
there is not CTR sub-forum on H-T so it would be appropriate to post this in ITR sub forum.
Thanks!

Ya know... something tells me you haven't quite searched...
But since you do have the code there... it's Y56 for PY

The CTR yellow is called Sunshine Yellow, which has the same color code as Phoenix Yellow oddly enough. Although I can't say for sure if the two yellows are the same shade.

as far as i know. The Sunshine Yellow is called like that In Japan. Source was my friend who is serving in the Navy stationed in Japan. Everywhere else it's called Sunligh Yellow, not Phoenix Yellow.
But yet again i, we, could be wrong.

it's painted Sunlight Yellow. Not Phoenix yellow, but i know theres a different shade of yellow around. I'll see if i can find "the" pic.

is that an "S" after the paint code. Noticed the touch up paint has "AA" after it. Does that mean anything? Anyone now?
