My girlfriend painted the roof of her Prelude...
So the roof of my girlfriend's Prelude was shot, so we decided to paint it. She was hesitant to do it herself at first, as she had never even held a paint gun, let alone actually painted anything, but she gave it her best and I think it turned out pretty well. We used Omni factory colored base, and Valspar clear coat. We also installed a 5th gen Prelude glass sunroof to round out the roof make over. Here are the pics-

Factory clear coat pealing

My buddy and I (I'm on the right) wet sanding the old clear off with 400 grit

Masking

Carefully masking

And there she goes

She was having a good time!

Wetsanded with 2000 grit on the left, buffed on the right

All finished with glass sunroof installed. Pic in the sun to show the gold pearl

Pic with overcast sky

Inside shot before

Inside shot after
So there it is, I think it's great considering it was her first paint job ever, and was done in a garage.

We didn't use any primer, we just wet sanded (with 400 grit) down to the original base and primer, being careful not to go down to the bare metal. Start to finish it took about 5 hours. Some of that time is waiting for paint to dry, 10-15 minutes between coats, and and hour between base and clear, so approximately 1.5 hours of waiting.
I got the clear from a friend for free, but I understand it's pretty expensive stuff.
I don't remember what brand of buffing compound we used, it's commercial stuff I got from work. It had 2 stages of compounds, we used a wool pad for the first stage, and a sponge pad for the second.
