I propose a toast...to the 5 gazillionth hater on SOHC engines. SOHC engines are the most cost efficient engines to play with.

I can name 5 people right now that I know personally running 12's on a SOHC turbo with no internal mods whatsoever. Only a lightened flywheel, ACT clutch, and turbo.

 

True, I have Sohc with Greddy Turbo Kit with IC.. I have a friend drive GSR with fully mods.. HE is a good driver and so we race each other on the track... I run 9 pound of boost and it had stock internal... SO I ran 13.9... Of course SOhc is a good motor and reliable.. Also I beat GSR 4 doors... I have a guy whose drive 95 Civic with Fmax turbo kit and stock internal.. He ran 12.7 in quarter mile... BElieve me... DOhc motor are great too but SOhc and Dohc are same honda motor...

 

You dont happen to live in San Antonio do you?

 

i bet all the gsr 4 doors you race are old people(about 75 years old) and are automatic that drive them and they are completly stock

I dont understand what is stupid about it. If it will run 12.5 on stock internals...imagine what it could do if you fully build the whole thing and up the boost.
