Default FS: Rare EK Steering column & key ignition light up kit

Up for sale is a set of rare EK steering column light up kit. The steering column comes with extra light up kit and key ignition column, very attractive. This piece is one of the rarely seen HONDA ACCESS item which you have to special order from HONDA and not comes stock on any JDM EK. The steering column covers are both in black as EK9 and EK4, perfect color matching.

Unlike some of those selling on Ebay which has missing part, this particular set comes complete with the complete wiring and original HONDA relay as seen. The original setting of the relay allow the lights to dim off 10 seconds after the door is closed. It can be installed on both RHD or LHD EK directly without any modification needed.

SOLD!

You can have this column light kit mounted on RHD or LHD ek with no modification needed. Just hook up the wire to the light wiring and attach the relay and earth wire.

That's crazy, who would pay $750 or even $500 for a steering column cover? Is there seriously nothing better to spend money on? No offense the OP, I'm sure you'll sell it anyway if people pay $750+ for it.

Unllike those on EBAY, this is the most complete kit with all the original relay, fuse, wiring harness and earth wiring.

None's taken.

Because when you turn it into a hobby, money is not an issue but the point is to complete the JDM conversion. Many folks out there folk out thousands of dollars for vintage toys like transformers and godaikin so are they nuts?

Second, this column kit is not a standard equipment for JDM EK back in the days which means you have to special order it from HONDA ACCESS when those folks bought their EK back in the days. Check the 99-00 EK catalog below.

Third, this kit has been discontinued by HONDA JAPAN and apparently they only manufactured a certain amount of it back then but no reproduction was ever carried out.

Fourth, this is the TYPE D color shade, which is black, as seen in EK9 and EK4 which makes it harder to source these days.

To answer some of the questions, the OEM relay will make the lights slowly dim off 10 seconds after you shut the door. It dims off like most continental cars instead of turn off instantly. Without this relay, it will basically turn off instantly.

It's very useful during the night when you needed more light in the cabin to locate the key column in the dark.

There is nothing wrong with the relay, it's the original relay.

So why did you blur the serial out? I'm curious too... is it stolen?

That number is actually the part number of the delay.
