Default ls vtec build.

i am looking as the golden eagle lsvtec kit and i noticed they have two head gasket sizes. they have 81.0mm and 84.0mm thickness. what is the difference in usage? i and going to turbo charge it at about 10psi max. and im looking for about 200 to 250 to the wheels.

If your goal is turbo you want the thicker gasket, which will lower compression for a turbo motor

81mm and 84mm??? arent they talking about bore? if so get the head gasket specified for your bore not some random bore. if u have an 81mm bore than u get my point.

I think the difference is the heads. Non vtec to vtec.. not all b series motors share the same part numbers.

hell even the waterpumps are different.

the ls headgasket seals better because it matches the block, the vtec one isn't wide enough in certain spots so there is a bigger chance it will blow through. all you really have to do is search, there is a lot of info on ls vtec's on here

the head gasket in the golden eagle kit is the same as a ls one(just not oem) it just has the dowel bored out on the gasket. so its made for a ls bottom end.
