Default skunk2 intake mani. swap problems on gsr

ok i dont know if this is the right section for this, but today i put my s2 manifold on my 99 gsr. I got it on and running what seems to be fine, but theres a few things that dont seem right. Until about 5-5500 rpms theres no power then after that its like hitting a 50 shot to it. Then when im cruising at about 20 in 2nd gear and punch it then let off the motor jerks the **** out of my car? does this have to do with the mount? since i took the gsr intake bracket off? Last thing is some times after i rev it, it will sound like a bad tps or something but the idle wont go up and down just sounds like it does? im clueless. other than that it seems to run and idle fine. If anyone has any clue what im talking about please help!!!

well; the p72 maps are worked around having secondary butterflies, once you swap to a non butterfly manifold you have to tune
timing and fuel maps are off.
im not sure what you mean about the idle

so will it hurt to drive it without the fuel maps tuned? n such? The idle when hold the throttle open just barely will surge a little but. I took it out last night and got on it. I cant tell if vtec is kickin in or not, but at around 5 grand it hauls ***. It seems to run fine and damn its loud now

if your still running a obd2 p72 with the new IM on then maybe thats y it runs crappy...a p72 is for stock GSR IM with the butterfly..either get a obd2 p73 or convert to obd1 wit the chip p28 or a p30

sounds like you have a vacuum leak from installing the manifold and airs being sucked in that the map sensor isnt seeing and making adjustments for. listen for the leak and spray a water bottle around the manifold to find it. check at the throttle body gasket injectors and manifold gasket
