96 jdm itr swap help
I'm looking at a 96 jdm itr complete long block for my 00 civic si. Comes with everything, but I'm wondering if the obd 1?? (not sure if it is or isn't)on the itr is going to be an issue? Can I just use my dizzy or am I fine? Thanks in advance
Also Can I use my axles or no?

I'm pretty sure it was a company wide change - meaning it's OBD-II - they didn't have a OBD-IIB I don't think - so I just think it's OBD-II.
It should plug up - if it doesn't (the only thing that might nto work is the dizzy plug in which case you'll just have to wire a '99/'00 one on there (just wire matching).
As far as the axles go - if I recall correctly the JDM ITR used larger axles (36?) than its US counter-parts - so I think you need JDM ITR axles.

if your car is obd-1, the obd-2 itr will have a few issues plugging in.
use an obd-1 distributor and reqire the alternator.
also, the itr axles are 36mm. you will need customs axles which are fairly easy to find or you need to also pick up a 5 lug swap.

As he stated, his car is '00 - which would make it OBD-IIb.

The 96 JDM ITR is plug and play in a 99 SI because your car is OBD II and so is the JDM ITR. The ITR will not use your crank flux sensor, or vtec pressure switch. There are minor differences in the EVAP system. The SI evap canister shut valve is on the canister, & the JDM ITR is not. The SI uses an EVAP purge control solenoid, and the JDM ITR does not. If anything you may need to lengthen some wires, and maybe remove some of the unused plugs.
There won't be any axle issues, I don't know where that is coming from. I'm running a 96 spec JDM ITR in my 96 civic ex and the ITR axles plugged right into the EX hubs (which are the same as the SI). 5 lug isn't necessary.
