alright so here it is.i have a 95 lude h22 and i threw a rod at the beginning of summer decided to do my build. got a block from a guy that was supposively sleeved and put the engine in with je pistons and eagle rods and there was a knocking. pulled the engine and the pistons were scrapping the cylinder walls. so i said expletive it stuck a stock block back in with my built head and now its back running. the thing is now its some weird **** going on. to start its throwing cel 6 and 20. i know that 6 is electric something and 20 is some water temp sensor. so i need help getting those to go away. the funny thing is like my car fan want go off. like you have to pull this fuse out to get it to go off when you turn the car off. another thing the tranny has a loud whinning noise coming from it. any idea what that could be. and last but not least i broke one of the nipples of the IM so what could i do about closing it off. thanks in advance.
I think u got that mixed up. code 6 is the Water temp sensor, and code 20 is the ELL (electrical load detector). If ur not using the nipple on the intake manifold just plug it off, that could be where ur whining sound could be coming from too since it's a vacuum leak. Code 6's pretty self explanitory just check the sensor, I had code 20 when I had a loose ground. It could be because ur alternator's not working right too, and it could also be the sensor, it's on the bottom of the fuse box in ur engine bay.

yea my fault on the cel. i just went to pick up to sensor for the water temp that goes on the thermostat. i never new a vacum leak could cause a loud *** whinning noise but i sealed that **** with some apoxy stuff that you use to fix cracks and radiators. couldnt find nothing else. if anyone has a better suggestion let me know. does anyone know why my fans stay on when the car is off. it will go off after about 15min. could that be that bad coolant temp sensor making it act like that. thanks

I believe that fan remains on until your engine temp drops below a specified number. If your cooling system isn't running up to par, or if its a really hot muggy day than your fan will remain on in the manner that you describe to keep the motor at safe temperatures(I believe, please correct me if I'm off).
It could just be the sensor. If your car doesn't display signs of overheating, or doesn't run unusually hot, than chances our its your sensor anyway. Check your coolant system too, make sure you got lots of coolant, and its the normal greenish color (or what ever color your coolant is suppose to be). I'm sure you would have noticed if you were leaking coolant but check to see if the coolant is not becomming acidic aswell. It wouldn't cool the car aswell if the fluid is old and well used.
