Default tranny fluid 5spd

what do you guys use? apparently the place i had my car last to swap my clutch put Dextron in it. i was told this bad on hydro trannys. so im interested in what you guys use or recommend?

honda MTF. on the labels of those things it should say "not for honda cars" or something, i was looking for power steering fluid and it had the label on it

Everyone has had different success with different transmission fluids, however, the consensus here is Honda MTF. I use Honda MTF just because I drive a Honda and it's cheap.

I'm looking at one of my receipts and I paid $12.19 after tax in Texas for 2 quartz.

i use honda mtf. Others will argue that gm syncromesh is better and you get the guys that prefer redline fluid.

I used to run GM Synchromesh Friction Modified in my track car with really good results. I was really surprised at how well Royal Purple Max Gear worked in my transmission. I've decided to use the rest of my GM Synchromesh stock on the street cars, and start using Royal Purple.

you can use 80w 90 as well. i use honda mtf myself.
