Scary stuff DOHC ZC whats the problem?
Well to start off I bought this DOHC ZC seemed to be in great condition all honda parts and stuff. So I get the motor do the mpfi wiring, and today I tried to start it up and it wont start. Well I havent tried too many times because when I start it it just DUMPS fuel right down the exhaust manifold and on the floor. and I checked the oil and the oil smells like gas. someone help me
Code 10 is for the IAT. You may have the plug switched with the IACV.
As far as the fuel problem, first thing you should do is double-triple-quadruple check your wiring job. Think about it: you just re-wired the vehicle to accept two extra fuel injectors, now you're dumping fuel... see the link?
Any other CELs?

Unless it sits for a long time, I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure you change your oil after you get it running properly.

well heres an update, well after trying to start it a few times it decided to stop turning over. I would turn the key and the starter wouldn't turn. we pulled the plugs and two cylinders were FILLED with gas. so It turned it over and gas SHOT up and hit the ceiling of my car port. After we got all that out mt floors are covered in gas. when I turned it over again there was a mist of fuel coming out of cylinders 2 and 4. a little more than I would expect. theres so much fuel getting into cylinder two that we have to syphen it out! I dunno whats wrong.
oh yeah Im using a PM6 ecu right now just to see If I could get it started. But I do have the DOHC ZC ecu. should I plug that in and see what happens?

The car may or may not be getting spark, but the cylinders still wouldn't fill up with fuel if that were the case. Your injectors must be stuck on. Check wiring.
Hopefully you didn't hydrolock the engine on the gasoline and bend the rods . . .
And don't try to check for spark while there are gasoline fumes everywhere. Dry up all the gasoline, discard of any rags properly, let the area air out, and then check for spark.

Yeah I don't think I hydrolocked it because I didn't keep tying to start it after I realized It was stuck.
I double checked my wiring and it seems to be OK. The injectors that are firing are 2 and 4. the other two arent. and injector 2 stays open because when I put the key to II the fuel pump stays on and fills up the cylinder. maybe the ECU is bad? Im really stumped right now

Try swapping the injectors around. If the fuel problem follows the injector, then you'll know the injector is bad. If you swap injectors and the fuel problem stays with the same cylinder, you'll know the wiring is bad.
WIRING!!!!!!!!!!!
Did you just do a quick visual inspection or actually go through and test your work with a multimeter? Just because a wire "looks" good doesn't mean it is.
Go back and completely re-do your harness, you did something wrong. Bottom line. Are you even using a MPFI ECU?

yeah Im using the PM6 ECU from a 91 crx si.
according to this http://www.50mod.com/fourthgenhatch/mpfi.html A3 and A7, which are the wires are the wires I added for the the two extra injectors are the only injectors firing. I took the two yellow and black wires soldered them together and ran them to the injector resistor box. then i attached all the red and black wires from the injector resistor box to the right side of each injector.
that doesnt explain why injector 2 is stuck open and dumping so much fuel.

Alright Im gonna bump this again. We got it running tonight for a little, because the injectors werent pumping out as much fuel now. so I said f*ck it lets start it up so we threw the plugs back in turned the key, after a few turns it started up. It sounded to be running on all cylinders but it was too loud to tell. It sounded amazing but it was running rich as hell. black smoke was coming out of the manifold along with gas. then a fire came out so we shut it off. but yeah it was running waaay too rich
You need to pull your injectors and swap them with known good ones, and at the same time....Because of the safety and machanical issues.....CHECK YO DAMN WIRING FROM THE ECU TO THE INJECTORS.
Heat shrink every connection after they are soldered....DO IT RIGHT.
Check and re-check your wiring. makes sure the = and - are not crossed.

everything is soldered and heat shrunk. I know injector 2 is stuck for sure. How exactly would you know if all the injectors were firing? would the cylinders be any wet?
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SIred91 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">You probably have them all kinds of crossed in the wiring before the injectors.</TD></TR></TABLE>
what do you mean by that? all the wiring is like a big tangled pile of wire but everything is wired correctly. also according to the write up it says the wires coming out of the resistor box don't have to be in any particular order. and they go on the right side of the injector. correct?

Well obviously you have some kind of problem. Either your injectors are shot, your wiring is wrong, or your ECU is broken.
Personally i always like to eliminate things i could have fucked up first, but if you want to go out and dump money on another ECU and new injectors, thats fine. Just dont complain if that doesnt fix and you have to go back and re-do your wiring anyway.

What are you talking about? first of all I have 2 PM6 ECU's and one pm7. I also have another set of injectors so I wont be dumping money anywhere. why cant we discuss other possible causes. My teacher told me my injectors aren't working right, he said to tap them while the motor is running. If that doesn't work to check my FPR. My wiring is ACCURATE! everything should be functioning properly.

listen the pm6 will work fine for now, it actually has less of a fuel map then the pg7 does but it will run fine. you can use pm7 also that would be better than the pm6. i have two jdm zc swaps that i have physically done my-self. i know you have heard it 15 times in this post alone, but go over your wiring again. if you said yourself the wiring is a rats nest but it is right, shorten them wires up and make a nice harness out of an old engine harness plug. did you use the same color wires to run to the motor or did you use different colors for the dizzy than the injectors. if you used all the same colror wires you never know you could have one or more crossed. dont get an attitude i am just trying to help and i happen to know alot about the jdm zc. get yourself another resistor box and try that. it may be a bad resistor box and it is not dropping the voltage on those two injectors.
Nah Im not trying to get an attitude or anything sorry If it sounded like that.

I must have missed this but thats a great Idea. I think Im gonna try this first then swap out resistor box for another one.
also there was no wiring required on the dizzy right? since I have a dohc?
