Default Rod choice for 600+HP

I'm just trying to get some feedback on what the pro's are using on their set up's for their FI cars. Goals are from 600-800HP, I've heard stories of having to re-torq rods after some odd amount passes and etc. Thanks!!

Olivers are very good and strong rods too BUT hardly anyone has heard of them so it is hard to sell them when everyone wants Manley and Pauter.

Tony had posted a few years back that when he worked for Jotech they basically broke every rod out there except for Pauters? I dunno if they tested Manley or Olivers though

The feedback is OUTSTANDING on this topic. I've always had Pauter on my mind but I wanted to hear it from experienced people what the best it...

the crowers i had in my old b16 lasted 6 years. only had them checked for straightness. the engine is gone and in NJ somewhere. all they did was replace the rod bolts because they were torqued 3 times.

so far my carrillos are holding good.

My Pauters in my old B16A made 676whp,ran it on the street for abotu 3 years at about 450whp. They had 5/16 bolts back then also. I called Pauter and asked why they had the 5/16 bolts and they siad they based them off the D16 rods lol

GRP makes a nice light rod if you can make them fit in the engine. Something about grinding 1/4" deep slots in the block scares the hell out of me! LOL
