I've got a B16 for my 1993 Honda Civic and I would like to go All Motor. I'm new to the world of Hondas so please bear with me. I got a B16A2 Longblock. I already know that I'm Porting and Polishing the head, as well as the obvious crap such as Intake/Header/Exhaust.

- I was wondering if GSR cams would work in a B16, and if so, what would the advantages/disadvantages be?

- Overbore of .20 over? Would I have to start using B18 parts?

- What would be a good compression ratio to be at when I'm done?

- What Internals(forged) do you recommend?

Once again, sorry for being a n00b, but I had to ask somebody.

Welcome to H-T Mike. What makes this site so helpful is the fact that it contains a wealth of knowledge that you are free to search through. Once you do that, if you have any unanswered questions or need clarification, you usually ask the questions in the open forum at that time. I would highly recommend you read through the "sticky's" at the top of the forums your interested in and you'll find most of your answers/ideas there. What you don't see, try messing with the search function (in red at the top right of your screen) and search for everything you can think of. That's the best way to get the most out of this site and gain some good education about Honda's along the way.

 

What is your budget and do you have any mechanical skills at all? And no, puting gsr cams in your head is a waste of time...type r's is a different story.

 

I'm just gonna go All Motor LS/VTEC with a Ported & Polished head, GSR Cams, Cam Gears, high compression pistons, GSR Tranny, Stage 2 Exedy Clutch, Intake/Header/Exhaust, Short Throw Shifter and call it a day

i used to have 1st gen b16 on my rex.Just installed
blox c cams/zspeed cam gears /jg header/blox intake manifold ang got me on high12's.
