i saw this pic in a random thread earlier while i was searching for other things and i was wondering, does this actually make any hp? lol. and if it does then i may try it out, i dont plan on swapping my engine b/c i need a cheap on gas DD and my d15 does just that but this looks like a cheap/fun mod to try.





looks like whoever did this removed the dpfi chamber and made it to be something like a d17 intake.

 

my friend did that on his Civic. i think Injen has intakes like that.

 

Lolol, sorry but thats just ugly. And probably flows TOO much.. I've heard that too much air for dpfi injection is a bad thing.

 

That's a hot-air intake. On the one in the pic, it would be better to keep the Y7 factory snorkel+box, and make a hole to feed cold air into the snorkel.

 

CAI does not make a difference in HP

it only accomplishes noise

without the resonator to quiet the suction

with the CAI

you can hear the suction at all times

WTF?? Noob, go home. Anyway Im sure you know better. There are many dyno charts to prove the cold air makes more power.
