i went from the d16y7 to the d16y8 and im still using my dizzi from the first motor an computer will t hat cause any problems or cause the idle to bounc. its a holiday weekend an no one in my area has the v-tech dizzi until tuesday will i cause an damage to my motor runnin the original dizzi an computer.

p.s i do havethe new p28 computer also

 

No your not going to cause any problems just no vtec and i think a cel until you get that Dizzy swapped out.

Actually that is wrong. It depends on if you have a 3 wire setup Y8 or a 2 Wire Y8 from a standard. If you have the 2 wire that is why your idle bounces.

 

Are you speaking IACV or actual distributer?

distributors are the same between y7 and y8.

Just wait with the distributor - I wouldn't run the other one.
