Default Need Help! Engine Vibrating when I warm up the car but not at normal speeds.

Ok, I have a 95 LS and a few days ago my car was running fine without any vibrations while I'm driving and as well as when I start the car. Yesterday, I got a valve adjustment done at a mechanic shop. The next day when I start the car my engine vibrates a lot all the way to the exhaust as well as when I'm waiting at the light. When I'm driving at normal speeds and on the highway it's fine. But this thing is bugging me. I don't know if it could be an engine mount or what....Let me know what's up. Thx.

find out what was the valve lashes the mechanic or whoever that did your valve adjustments. the factory setting is (0.006 on the intake / 0.007 on the exhaust, +/- 0.002 for both) on the bottom side of the hood. my guess is that the settings is too tight, meaning that the valve lash is smaller then 0.006. tight lashes results in more air which is good for more power and complete burns while driving, but at idle it would sound and feel like a V8. vice versa, loose lashes results in good idle, but less power and uncomplete burns. check your lash and let me know....... if you want I can tell you how to check the lashes yourself.

Can that cause the engine to vibrate if it's too tight?

yes. Make sure he did it when the car was 100% cold.

yeah..... slammeddc2teg is right about the motor having to be 100% cold. to check you will need a valve lash tool that reads all the way down to or below 0.004. next, get the biggest valve lash and stick it in between the top of the valve spring and the rocker that hits the valve spring down. first make sure the lobe isn't pushing down on the rocker. remember the tighter the rough the idle and it should be 0.006 in. / 0.007 ex. do that first and let me know.
