hey guys, I had a quick question.. besides the hp, what are the differences between a CRX dx and a CRX si? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.. thanks a lot..

 

ok well depends on what year
disc brakes in the rear
sunroof
fuel injection ( DPFI vs MPFI on a si)
no a/c option while the si had an ac option
interior, dx doesn't have crx on the door panels


can't think of any else, i'm sure someone knows something else

 

the SI is somewhat heavier
seats are different
bumpers are usually different style
si usually has aluminum wheels, dx has dubcaps
dx was offered in auto trans. SI 5spd. has better gearing

 

well unless you want longer gears , you stay with a dx tranny

guage clusters vary slighty, DX tach begins redline at around 6000 or so?

 

Didn't any of the trims have the option of A/C? Because I know with the hatchback even the STD base model came with it if you wanted it...

 

My old 88 crx dx had a/c.
The dx tach started redline at 6500, like my si tach does. It doesnt hit rev limiter until 7000 though.
If i can remember correctly, my 88 crx dx had a little storage place on the door panel. My si just has CRX, and no storage place.
I think my dx didnt have a mirror on the passenger sun visor. My si does.
Correct me if im wrong about the ones i had thoughts about.
