So I park my car along the street in the city and I'm in the process of taking my stuff out of the car when some idiot lady in an SUV backs into my car. That's right... my PARKED car!! I was about 2 feet behind her and she backs into my car. For those of you who don't know, I bought this car 4 days ago. FOUR DAYS AGO. I had 170 miles on the car total. I'm telling you, the worst drivers in the world are women. I don't care what damn statistics you bring up. Everytime a person nearly hits me, it's always a woman driver.

Anyway, looks like the hood, headlights, radiator, and front bumper all need to be replaced. And that's the very least (the car hasn't been inspected yet). On top of all that, she had hit me so hard my front right wheel slammed into the curb, leaving a curb mark. OMG, I am so pissed right now...

Well, an update on the story. She decided to take a week vacation, so my car won't get repairs for until another week (the insurance claims adjuster needs to talk to her). This is such BS. Furthermore, if at somepoint on her week vacation, she decides she doesn't want to take responsibility, this could become a huge problem on my part since proving that she's lying will be difficult. Anyway, I'm still hoping for the best right now. Honestly, I just miss driving my car. I'm going to go pick up my rental car tomorrow so I can get to work... yay

Oh, btw, to answer your q's: She was in her mid 20's and I'm honestly not sure how fast she was backing up because I only looked up once I felt the crunch. I'm guessing around 5mph, but there's a helluva lot of damage because of the height of her bumper, as well as the fact that it took her so damn long to stop reversing, put her car in drive and pull forward. About hitting her, believe me, the thought crossed my mind about 4 times during my 3 min. conversation with her, but I figured it wouldn't help much in that situation.
