Default new project...feedback?

so i just bought a 95 civic coupe. it came with a d16z6 sohc vtec. my buddy has a ls swap that hes willing to let go of for 550..complete swap with about 75k.

should i stay with the sohc and build up the internals and boost it?
or should i go with the ls and pretty much work that up?

The LS has way more potential...so if everything looks straight on the swap, I'd go LS and then sell your Z6

Buy the LS swap, buy a VTEC head and conversion kit, buy a turbo kit.

Or just save $ on the VTEC crap and build & boost.

Normally I would agree, but since he's getting the whole swap for $550 he could get a much better flowing head and cams in there for under $1000 total (including the LS swap). I think it's a good investment.

Buy the LS, send it to be sleeved.
Boost the stock Z6, learn something, blow it up.

Replace with built LS, you're a track star.

i would buy the ls. drive the z6 stock. build the ls and add boost, then pull the z6 and you have a built and boosted ls. then a stock z6 on the side . if you ever fucked the ls up.

and while your driving your boosted ls and pickin up chicks you can build your z6 and turbo THAT too, and find a del sol shell, and put it in there

save the SOHC!!!

Bad ISB. I have a tranny ready to go back together in my garage, but we never got the snap ring to seat correctly.

<<<< Read my Title and Avatar.

That being said, you should get the LS swap hands down, switch out your transmission for a good one, turbo, get some "**** VTEC" stickers and call it a day.
