new project...feedback?
so i just bought a 95 civic coupe. it came with a d16z6 sohc vtec. my buddy has a ls swap that hes willing to let go of for 550..complete swap with about 75k.
should i stay with the sohc and build up the internals and boost it?
or should i go with the ls and pretty much work that up?

Normally I would agree, but since he's getting the whole swap for $550 he could get a much better flowing head and cams in there for under $1000 total (including the LS swap). I think it's a good investment.

I have a tranny ready to go back together in my garage, but we never got the snap ring to seat correctly.

That being said, you should get the LS swap hands down, switch out your transmission for a good one, turbo, get some "**** VTEC" stickers and call it a day.
