wheel shaking
hey guys my steering wheel shakes badly every time I go to break hard I thought it was my rotors so I replaced them and breaks but it still does it any one know what else I should replace to fix this
well i would say brakes. i mean even though you replaced your brakes still means that you could have warped a rotor if you didn't follow the break in procedure. maybe a bad axle could cause it to.
does it only do it when you brake? could be motor mounts if it does it when you accelerate, ahhh balance your tires?? sounds like warped rotors to me but u said you replaced those.....
I have the same problem...did the same thing. Replaced all rotors and axles...but the only thing that fixed it is a rubber O-ring that fits in the middle of my wheels.
what the hell are you talking about? what ring? my **** started shaking bad as hell after i broke an axle, swapped it out but it still does it. changed both axles out, starting to think it's my tranny or sus, what is the ring ur talking about?

that's it trinity...Hub rings. But it also depends on what kind of wheels you've got, stock or aftermarket. What kind of shaking anyway? Vibration on the steering wheel, seats or the entire car? at what speed? or is it constant at all speed or only at certain speed. Last week I noticed that my car sways too much on turns eventhough I have new shocks and springs, front and rear strut bars w/ lower tie bars. I'm thinking maybe I need rear swaybars. Then when I check my front axles, the left side is completely shot (in half). Steering wheel did not shake/vibrate even on speeds over 100 mph. All I noticed is the car being unstable on lane changes. Suspension is made up of a lot of parts, so it's really tough to diagnose. Another possibility that your rims are out of round too. Good luck buddy!
its a little black ring that goes on the inside of your wheels that helps center the wheels more. call a tire place and ask them about it. they ARE called hub rings
man, i dont think anyone really know what causes it. my wheel shakes only when i brake fast. it shakes left to right really quick. is there anything in the steering that could be causing it. cause the shaking really gets annoying.

ok guys I already had replaced my rotors and breaks day before yesterday and yes it only shakes the steering wheel bad when I brake hard at a high speed if im going under 50 then its fine any ideas I saw someone said uneven pressure how do I fix this I know I need a master cylender because the pettle pressure isnt good and sometimes when breaking the peddle drops and you have to let of the brake t get pressure again

wheel bearings?
so zcpowereddx, you replaced the rotors and the calipers? just making sure b/c it could be a stuck brake piston that is causing the problem. besides that and the wheel bearing, i'm stumped.
i had this EXACT same problem!!!! i thought i had warped rotors too.. nah.. the rotors were fine.
check the bolt that the rotor swings/pivots on when you change the pads.. mine was almost all the way out. i tightened it back up and no more shake.
hope that might help some.

he said it only happens when he brakes. if it was wheel weights/unbalanced wheel it would happen with or without braking...
wheel bearings?
this could be it. my friend was having a bad vibration at higher speeds, but it didn't solely rely on him touching the brakes.

yeah I replaced the rotors and pads so if its a stuck brake piston how do I fix this and were is it located I already replaced the wheel cylenders in the rear
