.88? that's all? bOring.

I get over 1.2Gs at my local track in my 4th gen with stock suspension and Azenis 615s.

However the left-hand turns are slighlty banked.

no way do you pull 1.2g on a 4th gen, a frickin lotus elise can't even pull numbers like that, and it sticks to the road like it's on rails.

Skid pads are flat and track corners usually are not so to compare the max g-force between the two is useless. I've pulled 1.5 G in my Honda Challenge Prelude on the track before.

I beg to differ. I did qualify my statement with GPS data with 8-10 satellites in the pic above as well as stating that the left hand turns are banked. This is not a 300' skidpad test. With slicks I should be able to manage 1.4G upwards.

Peak G's is a fickle thing, with the right track and the right car some vehicles can pull ridiculous numbers. But skidpads are frequently misunderstood, Its not peak G's, its sustainable G's.

On but off the topic, I wonder what a champ car or F1 for that matter would pull on a skid pad and peak g's. Probably enough to make you sick to your stomach

F1 cars pull 4.5 g at turn 8 in Turkey which only has moderate banking. The Champ cars pulled 7 g at the high banks of Texas Motor Speedway a few years ago and had to cancel the race as the drivers were blacking out.

I was thinking that. I know they dance on that fine line between being awake and mooshing all the blood to one side of their brains like fighter pilots and the like.
