Default lets see some s tech coupes

lets see some pictures of your s techs coupe on factory shocks.
or aftermarket shocks. My car has a 2 finger gap all around but I feel that the back is still too high. I want to drop it down to 1 finger while the front is good as is for a more balanced car. I just have the springs on for 2 weeks and people tell me its going to sag over time but I don't think so. I know lowering the back anymore will result in a camber kit installation but I think I'm willing to do that because to be quite frank, I keep fingering the gap and it's very mental to me to walk away from my car and keep looking at the gap and risk getting hit by cars because i pay more attention to my gap as i walk away than where I'm going. and btw someone suggested my tires are making my car standing higher? i'm not sure which type i have

I'm on S-Tech on stock shocks

Looks like you have 50 series tires, I have 60 series tires.

So is that it?? My wheels are making my car look higher?
Can I replace the tires? These are 17 inch rims but I don't recall what my tires are.
Except that they are toyo proxes 4.

well looking at the picture your car is 215/45 and 45 series is the recommended tire size for your 17" as well. :/

Yes you can replace your tires with a higher profile. What size do you have right now

so a higher profile tire should give me the look like your car?
I was afraid the installation was no good or something.
If I get higher profile tires would I need a camber kit? Because where I am at right now is the barely the maximum for a camber kit so ones not needed says my shop.

Would higher profile tires fit on my 17 inch and is that likely the key to why mine seems higher than yours? I just want to be 100% certain because I just bought these new tires 2 months ago!! can I just replace the back with ihgher profiles? im content with the front. Don't want to buy new tires when these tires are new but at the same time can't stop fingering the gap to see if it dropped any lower. Its all in my imagination.

higher profiles will help out on the look, i would just wait before getting new tires. Maybe you just need to get used to that look for now. I have a rear camber kit on mine.

higher tires would help...but you do realize ur gonna be adding more rubber which means more weight. i have the same exact set up, 45/17 and thats the series size you wanna stick it cuz its close to OEM specs...but its ur car and i guess if the gap bothers you that much you should just save and get full coilovers

would higher tires cause my speedomer to read incorrectly?
Is there a way I can get different springs on the back and keep the front springs?
Something to lower it... around 1.8 inches or 1.9 inches or so.

it will throw off your speedo but not by much maybe 2-5 miles. Yeah you can probably get diffrent back springs but if your riding on stock struts they won't last very long

you mean with different springs or do you mean with what i have now?
I have stock struts, shocks. If i do decide to leave my S techs as they are, do I have to replace the struts and shocks? I dont want to have to go through the pain of blown shocks or struts on the freeway or something.

The S-Tech's can be used with oem struts/shocks so if you go lower, getting another set of lowering springs or just the back springs like you said in the post above mine, then those stock struts will quickly get blown.

Thanks for your help.

just because some people are riding on s techs with out aftermarket shocks doesn't mean you can't blow them. it depends on the person's driving style and the conditions of the road. be smart and do it right the first time, buy after market shocks and you wont regret it.

What do you think about Tokico blues? I heard they help lower it some? But I was told by a guy who had them to keep my s techs on factory because they were designed on factory shocks/struts

getting coil overs would end my worries? Tein coil overs?

But who has s techs on factory settings? I can't exactly afford to go change my shocks struts if they are fine now but at the same time, dont want to blow them one day and im screwed.

tokico blues are fine with S techs... just having springs on factory shocks/struts will give you a bouncy ride
