Default Normal for a Tial WG to rotate?

Just noticed the whole diaphragm housing now rotates. It a 44 Tial. Is this typical or should I tear it down for inspection?

take it apart and tighten the lock nut inside. is your car possibly overboosting because of this ?? it was an issue on one of our street cars that the car would spike to 18 psi on a 11 psi spring. later we found the housing to be loose ( mind you on a brand new tial)

The nut is tight. There is a set screw on the flange portion of the nut that appears to either hold the base of the housing in position or lock the nut in place (removed in pic). Otherwise, there is a bit of a gap under the nut and lower housing. This one has 200 miles on it.

I don't know how many shims were suppose to be on the back side of the housing, but I just added one, now the nut tightens the housing to the valve body. Much better

that is exactly what you needed to do, we had a few washers come out a little thin, the fix is to add another

BUMP:

I've got the same issue with my 44mm, how do you remove the diaphragm safely after you remove the 4 set allen headed screws? My whole assembly rotates with the valve around the body 360 degrees.
