Default EF with obd1 conversion not running correctly

ok, here is my story... i have a 1990 ef hatch with a d16z6..... originally previous owner did the swap, the decided to use the 1990 dizzy and stock 1990 si computer.
well the distributor went and i had to get a new one, so i had gotten one that would correctly work with the engine to have the bolts line up, what i didnt realize at the time is that it was an 0bd1 Dizzy and would not work with my 0bd0 computer. so i just purchased a new p28 with a wire conversion harness. plug the plugs in one end of harness same on other side and fire up car.... it now starts which is more than i could have said earlier, but the engine light is on and it only revs to 3000 rpm before cutting out. Now on the conversion harness on top of plugging both ends into each other there is now an extra wire harness coming out of the plugs into the computer back out... there is apporx. 10-12 wires of various colors.. i am assuming that since this is not plugged in that is why i am having the troubles i am.. however i have no idea where this goes... also previously i was using the msd ignition switch for my vtec... is this still needed??? plz any sort of diagram would be of great assistance

what brand jumper harness are you using. if it doesn't go past 3k sounds like a code 4 possible crank ang sensor. but give the brand of the jumper harness. there should be two wires you can jump to show you whats going on with the engine codes.

ok no there is no name on it i have it here and the one (i beleive they call the sub-harness) has a 12-pin wire connector on it with wires colored as follows:
purple, blue, green, black, red, black, red black, orange, yellow, grey, white.

if some one has a pin layout i can tell you what pin they go into on the ecu side of the harness

that's street image harness i think. if it then this is what you need to know.

jump the yellow wire to black, on the sub harness this should check what code your throwing.

not really if it's not hooked up you should only be throwing a code 1 or 41 o2 sensor not found. unless your running a vtec computer looking for knock, vtec etc..
