Alternator BAd! Have a question.
i have a GSR Swap and my car wont start. It has fuel, spark, and timing is dead on. I replaced the distributor with a brand new one. Still nothing. I took the alternator out and had it tested. Its measuring 10 volts when it should be 13+. In rare cases even tho i have a shop battery charger/jumper could this be why the car isnt starting? maybe its sending some type of signal that wont let the car start. any help is appreciated

if it wont start then its not the alternator.
i recommend checking all the small stuff first like your grounds, checking your fuses, checking your starter (if its grounded properly), checking your wires, etc.
again, you're using your battery to start the car, not the alternator

thanks for the reply, my firing order is correct with brand new wires, new spark plugs, new distributor, all grounds have been checked and double checked, timing has been done around 15 times, all ground cables were cleaned off and reattached, battery terminals clean, main relay is fine, fuses are fine. I dont know what else it could be. i even got a valve adjustment. Only thing not matching up right now is the alternator as its only throwing 10 volts. I know that your using the battery to turn the car on but the alternator plays a role in this doesnt it? Cant bad alternator not let your car turn on? my friend has a b17 gsr swap and his alternator went and his car would not turn on until he replaced it. My question is could it be sending a bad signal or something. Gurus please step in.
