Default car wont start

my car wont start and it is making a clicking noise that sounds like it is coming the distributor or starter. and the distributor is brand new and it was working fine but i havent drove it for a couple weeks and now it wont start. and it isnt getting spark. so would there be any other reason besides the distibutor

how do the battery terminals look? i had this same problem with the battery being new and finding out the terminals were so badly corroded that i needed to replace them. if that is the case then you can pick up some at autozone for like $4 for a pair.

I know advanced auto parts has a tester and they can tell you where the issue is.

Sounds like like the starter if the alt is good, or the terminals like stated already could be having something to do with the issue

well if it was the terminals your would be able to see if they were corroded just by looking at them. my suggestion is to take a wire brush or something to clean them up or just replace them no big deal. it took me like 15 mins, because from what you have stated it sounds like the battery isn't giving enough "juice" to turn the starter and what you are hearing is the solionied on the starter. just get out there from the info myself and throwdown have gave you and report bac
