Main Fuse keeps blowing

Main (FIE) fuse under the hood keeps blowing causing the car not to start, What could be the problem? I'm also not getting spark.

Bad ground?

It helps to post other info too, such as model (year) ? Motor? ECU? Significant mods or projects done to the car such as swaps, history of previous problems that may be related?

had a problem on my friends crx a while back. kept blowing the main battery fuse. we unplugged the alt and it started no problem. alt must have been overcharging or something. but all was good when it was replaced
