Default Motegi Traklite wheels

searched archives in wheel/tire and itr forum

Anyone running these?

quality?

tirerack has them for $224 for 15x6.5 35 offset...

I found a killer deal on a set.....

They weigh 10lbs each...forged

Thanks for any input

Saw these when Tire Rack first had them, look like a good deal, but it is Motegi and I'm curious as to how good their forging process is, since I'd grade their normal wheels far below even Rota.

Rota is made in the Philippines.
Motegi is manufactured in the US.

Nuff said about quality.

Motegi is made by American Racing, in the USA.

The track lights are of great quality.

As if every thing the US makes is great? Your logic on quality and manufacturing processes in relation to the country of manufacture is stupid Mike.

At least I was referring to the cheap company of Motegi, in relation to another cheap company (Rota), and the fact that one of those companies actually makes a decent product while the other has yet to really prove itself.

i could have sworn a couple months to a year or so back, i was looking at the tracklites on tirerack, wondering why they were so inexpensive; it said the country of manufacturer was china. does anyone else remember seeing this or was i just imagining it?

You are an idiot. My logic is clear. Quality control overseas is far less than it is here. You are a prime example of selective thinking.

Two regs arguing...

I get the winner at E8 after I whoop on Opie.

I'd rock em, but if I'm going to pay good money for wheels, they need to be 7-8" wide.

You guys know that Nissin products are made in Taiwan right? I guess I would be worried about your brakes.

In fact, a fair amount of components found on our ITR's are made in China and Taiwan.

Lies. All ITR parts were forged in the fires of Mt. Doom by Soichiro himself.

judging by the stuff i've come across so far with MADE IN THE USA plastered all over it, it certainly wasn't anything to brag about
