i got a 2000 accord and the two front seatbelts don't retract by itself, i have to feed it in. How can i fix this?

 

If the motor thingy is busted, it's under lifetime warranty, take it to a dealership

 

how do i check? if possible, i want to try to do it myself, i can't find time to bring it to the dealership

 

Well they're not going to let you replace it yourself haha.

If it doesnt retract at all (and doesn't do the stopping thing if pulled too hard) it's definitely messed up.

Your best bet if you can't take it to a dealer is call American Honda and explain the situation to them.

You'll still have to take it to a dealer to do the fixing though.
