Where does this go for LED Tail lights?

Where does this go for LED Tail lights?
I left it out because I didn't know where to put this little thing. LED Tail lights work fine w/o them. But I was thinking its probably for the "brake lamp" sensor or something since LED's take up less power wattage than reg. bulbs and my brake lamp sensor always goes off now.
