Default I have half my brake lights

Well, after messing around with some wiring that came apart in my 2002 civic lx, I got all my lights working again except for the brake lights. The internal (over the trunk) light and my spoiler comes on when I hit my brakes but nothing on the fender. Now I'm not even sure if the brake lights are separate from the tail lights or if the tail lights just get brighter when the brake is applied. Thank you!!!!

your brake lights are usually dual filament. meaning that theres two filaments on the inside of the bulb. when u turn on the lights, one filament is lit up. then when u hit ur brakes, the other filament lights up, which makes them get brighter. the second filament may be blown out. if that happens, u will be able to cut the lights on, but when u brake, they wont get any brighter. may just need to change the bulbs
