Default Parts Cleaning fluid?

Well it is time to change my parts cleaning fluid. I used to buy it at NAPA but they do not sell it anymore. Something about not safe for the enviroment. I wanted to see what everyone was using and where did you purchase it? I can get the name of the stuff I used but it would evaporate very quick and did a great job of getting the grease/oil and crap off the parts. Looking for something similar in strength.

i use clean-rite purple power, it works really good and its sold at most auto parts stores.

i used simple green parts washer degreaser once but didn't work for me and hated the smell of it.

Virgin Varsol is pretty strong, smells terrible but it works good. Can be purchased at most oil supply companies.

Yes we have 50 gallon tanks filled with mineral spirits that we clean Transmission parts, but that stuff is harsh on the hands so we were gloves.

For my cleaning machine we use a Metal cleaning soap that its a powder that we get in 55 gallon containers and we use that to clean transmission and engine cases

I like mineral spirits, not too bad to work with and cuts grease very well.

mineral spirits works well, but varsol is what should be used in a pump type parts washer

the mineral spirits will eat up the pumps

This stuff takes all gummy deposits out all the way down to the bare metal.

Make sure you wash it out real good in the parts washer (or hot water) once you've used the dip. Oh and make usre to get a dedicated pair of chemical resistant reuasble gloves. The stuff will tear up your hands.

I simply use deoderized kerosene in my pumped parts washer.
