Looking at getting some Si springs for relatively low price of 30$. These are stiffer then the stock EX springs while not dropping the ride hieght of the car. I'm not looking to Autocross but I defintely hate the enormous body lean of a EX.

Good deal, bad deal? Throw in some shocks? Ideas guys?

 

I used to own a 96 EX and now I own a 2000 Si.

There was still a lot of lean in my stock Si. I now have Eibach Prokit springs. Much better.

If you want to make a difference in your EX, buy a rear sway bar first then save up and get some decent springs.

Hmm... sounds logical. Trying to find the best suspension setup thats not going to pound my *** on the pothole ridden commute to class.

 

try and source ITR springs....they'll fit, used with less than 10k miles can be from $60-$100.

they dropped my Si 1"f/0.5"r looks nice to me

best low cost mod i have.

 

Shop around, its not that bad, i'm sure you can afford it.

 

Dont even bother, the stock Si\SiR springs are crap... I upgaded to Ground Controls. I'll sell u mine if you want.

 

Your best bet will be the Neuspeed Sofsports. High performance while retaining ground clearance. SofSport® springs were developed exclusively by NEUSPEED and designed specifically for performance driving in areas with snow and rough road conditions. Get ITR springs they are counter ballaced form the factory for a 1600 pound car same as a EX and it will lower your car about a inch

 

I'll third the ITR springs...about 200lbs/in all around should be a good ride. I hear they work fantastic with KYB AGXs. A fabulous suspension for less than $500 Honda did a good job on the ITR.

Edit: The Si rates are 201lb/in Front and 98lb/in Rear. That's really soft.

The Si springs are hardly going to reduce the body roll of your car. If you can get them for $30 bucks though, and install them yourself then I guess you could get them, but don't be exepcting minimal body roll.

 

get itr springs...they give a cool drop if you dont want to go low....I have some for $80

 

I still have my 00si springs if you want them.

 

The SofSports are excellent springs. Before I slammed my car on my Koni Yellows (the car isn't my daily driver anymore ) the ride height was .75"-1" lower and the handling was still really nice. WAY less roll, lean and dive than the stock Si springs. The car was fine through snow and on rough roads.
