with those mounts the motor still moves?

how is the shifter mounted? im pretty sure if those are solid mounts the motor shouldn't move.

if you have the FR pro-am traction bars it should help with the front bar connected to the block should help a lil!

wanna sell those mounts?

what slaps around ? this shifter or the engine ?

you need to get solid lower torque mounts. driver and passenger side. those are the ones that count.

Here's the custom drivers side mount we had made. It goes from the D series A/C bracket to the traction bar mount.

The second photo will be the tranny mount to traction bar mount.

rev the motor the shifter jumps around which means the motor is moving still. full race will not help if you dont have the back door intercooler. wonder if the avid tq mounts will help me out. dont want to buy **** that wont work.

With the amount of power and the extremes people are going to make things solid, could it be the cross member is flexing? I mean the rear cross member in a 92-95 is pretty strong stamped steel, but I have seen one tear on a crx.

An inch is more than enough to cause issues shifting, completely solid mounts and solid torque mounts are the only way to ensure no motor movement.

I use the Hasport mounts with solid inserts as shown on the first post. I only use the 3 main mounts. The rear mount, the one at the top of the trans and the one at the timming belt area. I have not had any trouble at all. My Long shifter works wonderful!

yeah i was just saying that even with the 85a, it doesnt barely move, so those solid mounts should do the trick on those long shifters .

If enough people pm me I will make these!

So whoever wants inserts for their mounts lmk. I am going to do mine this coming week with some hasports.

If you want them with another type of mount let me know. Might also pick up some innovatives.

Innovative only made them for certain ppl which sucks ***.

Plus they want an extra 150 for the solid mounts

And even then their fab guy who is welding them cant even get a set for his customers

My solid inserts for the hasports were one offs made at Franks custom fiberglass. He cut them out of aluminum, put them in a lathe to cut them to size. Then he put the steel pin back through them. They are 2 piecies like the urethane.

Any local welding shop should be able to fab you some mounts. It's really not that difficult.

Start calling around your area and find a local guy. Our fab guy made our soild steel ones for $100.00. He had them done in a day working out of his garage.

Any of you guys with a welder can make your own.

Think about it...

The more the better. # will work, but why risk a miss shift or a 1-2-1 or a 2-3-2 shift?

Do it right the first time bro.
