I know this wont apply to majority of the racers in here, but just want to see if there are any comments to those that it will apply to.
For the past 8 years we've been selling drag racing wheels, we occasionally get the request for 5x114 lug pattern. Unfortunately, the only choice we've offered is a custom Bogart or Weld wheel which usually runs about $350-500 each wheel.
At this time we only offer our VPD 13" in a 4x100 and there are no choices for an inexpensive drag wheel for 5 lug owners. We get asked every month for 5 lug applications but we had no plans until this summer to produce any of our wheels in 5 lug pattern.
We are now in the process of making a Racing wheel in a 15x7.5 with a +20 offset. This should allow drag racers to use 23x7.5x15, 23x8.5x15, 24.5x8.5x15, or even the 26x8.5x15 M&H slicks.
The main focus is to provide an affordable wheel for drag racing or even road racing use. The target price will be about $320/pair.
To the ITR or 5x114 users, let me know what you think.
Thank you.

Sounds good Wil.
FYI....5 x 4.5 from a domestic car is what I typically order and they normally are much cheaper and more readily available than getting an "import" rim in 5 x 114.3.

I'd be all over them for my 240, although I was kinda hoping to get a 15x8 wheel so I can run the 26x11.50's I need

Thanks for the replies guys. Ya your right Jason, the domestic 5x4.5 is also another option. Its just we get the request once in a while and we are 50/50 in doing a wheel for the 5x114.3
For every 40 sets of 4x100 we sell, we get a request wanting a 5x114 at a decent price.
as far as the 240, we are looking into that as well. a wider drag wheel for the RWD applications.

tell me how that can work? Will it clear your calipers? From what I hear, the calipers on the ITR are a bit bigger than the reg integra ones. and even the reg integra/civic calipers just barely clear the inside diameter of the wheel.

Isn't that right RPRacing?

Only those who don't kno you mean because I happend to be the only person who ran 13x8 bogart dragon fly's with 5x114.3 lug pattern on my civic EG and I helped out my bud Francisco with his brake setup to save weight and give him the ability to run 13" wheels with ITR spindles. I never revealed the secret for many years but feel free to IM me and we'll chat.

well running a 13" 5lug Bogart still brings you to the same dillema. having to get custom wheels done plus you have to make modifications. Its not a direct bolt on deal.
The point of a manufacturer making a certain wheel to fit an application is so they dont have to make any modifications themselves. You have to minimize the work that they would have to do or else you'll turn some of them off to the product.

I beg to differ with you again, I used a set of 13x8 Bogart dragon flystars which were originally produced for the FWD dsm's with 5x114.3. There are many other wheel companies who offer the 13" wheels such as Weld Wheels, they produce the Import Magnum 5x114.3 lug pattern in 13"s

(Check out Vince Tiaga's old mazda 3 with a set)
Also the amount of work required to run 13" wheels on ITR spindles is so simple that you can run OEM honda calipers without any kind of grinding down of such except for small very cheap inexspensive mod that is key with this swap.
Those of you interested in this brake upgrade please feel free to hit me with questions I think I've held this secret long enough that I feel its time to share.
Positives about using ITR 5x114.3 spindles: Upgraded brakes
More spindle strength at the wheels as compared to 4x100 pattern to 5x114.3

Well thats cool that the ITR can fit those 13" wheels. Thanks for the info. didnt know that it could be done.
With that said, it still brings the cost to the racers into the $500-700 range per pair of wheels. Maybe we'll rethink our design and make a new 13" in a 4x100 and 5x114 instead.

More like it needs innovators instead of copy cats
On the other hand though, when the time is right I will create a thread with a parts list and instructions of how-to
