Default H22A into a 6th Gen 4Dr Accord

Has anyone actually done this? Is this even a possibility? How hard is it? Would it be easier to just buy a 5th gen and do it there?

OK, i know this may sound really stupid, but i will ask anyway. What is an h22? I'm not some idiot know-nothing about cars, either, im just not up on the honda engine numbers. I only purchased my Acoord 2 months ago, before that it was sr20de's, l28's, and 4g63's. BTW: I have a ULEV in my car and was thinking about swaps......when an add for a part says : Accord 98-00 4cy, is that a ULEV?(are all accord 4cyl's ULEV?) Thanks for educating a fool......

I'm not sure but I thin ULEV is for Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle.I'm pretty sure they all are. I remember seeing a show on TV about the Honda emissions and the engineer was saying that the emissions on the 6th Gen Accords were so low that they were actually cleaner than most cities outside air you breathe.

It is not my car. H-T name areyouasian emailed the pics along with some pointers about the swap.

Basically it takes a combination of accord + prelude mounts...

6th gens are still fairly expensive cars to be pulling apart and swapping motors.

A 5th gen has it in looks, weight and availability of aftermarket performance parts.

Accords are difficulat enough to tune. Why make it more difficult in tuning a harder platform?

Not any more.

I love the way the 6th gen looks. As far as aftermarket performance parts the H22A has plenty.

Because it possible? Because my DSM sucks? Because I want something different without having to sell my cars?

Don't get me wrong. I am just kidding around. I do appreciate your input, I just do not see much hope with a fmax kit either......

Here is an example....

Someone with the following mods will hit 200WHP with a f23A1.

AEM CAI - DC CC headers - AEM pulleys - AEM Camgear - ZEX 75 shot - ZEX plugs - Zex pressure guage - Denso IK16 plugs - Magnecor KV85 plug wires - APEXi SITC - APEXi VAFC - B&M Short Shifter - Autometer A/F guage - Autometer OP guage - APEXi RS exhaust.

Is it worth it. Maybe. Really depends on what you want to do.

Any input is greatly appreciated!!!!

that is also not my car but i talked to the guy who owns that car, he sent me that picture, i think it doesnt have the intake in there because he took that picture right after the swap.

his car is still for sale on ebay. heres the link if anyone is interested.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1859913901

i think he wants like 16000 for it if i remember correctly from his emails...which isn't bad considering if you paid to get a swap into a 6th gen its in the upwards of about 6 grand.
