help honda gurus....car starts but will run like its misfiring all cylinders....turbod
i have a civic coupe with a d16y8 custom turbo setup......the car's battery went dead because i had left it at a friends shop for 3 weeks to get it painted.......when i try and start the car, it runs but at very low idle, very rough like its misfiring all cylinders....vacuum is low around -3 when i know it should be -20.....oil pressure is also low....when i pulled the plugs, they were wet so i'm thinking that the motor is flooded....i have rc 550cc tuned on ectune.....i still have the problem and am thinking my dizzy went bad...i changed it last summer though....when you give the car throttle, it dies out.....the car will run and oil pressure will be fine when you hold the throttle body open, but vacuum is only arould -10.....any other suggestions?
did you change the spark plugs and try again? The other day my Ostrich malfunctioned so i had to drive a few miles on a stock GSR basemap on my turbo H22 lol. It was dumping twice the fuel necessary. Once i got my problem fixed i had to change the spark plugs, it wouldn't run on the other ones anymore since they were wet just as yours are.

Possiblyu a bad MAP sensor, can you go and datalog with your Crome? Check make sure you have a vacuum signal to the MAP sensor. Is it a 3 bar or stock map sensor? Make sure also whatever tune is in it , it is set up for that particular map sensor also.
Reason I think the map is due to you being excessively rich to the point of wetting your plugs and your vacuum is very low also , good luck

maybe your "friends" killed your engine while it was at thier shop.
check your timing belt to be sure it did not skip teeth.

i got my friend who is my mechanic for many years to check out the car......he got it to run perfect for about 10 secs before it craped out.....we think the dizzy is shorted out, will be getting a new one via warrenty tommorow.....will post results
check the dizzy end... and make sure your battery is tanking right... cause a tune requires a injector battery offset to be set, and if it is out of range for what it was tuned, it could cause the wrong length injector pulse.
changed dizzy, same problem.....what are the chances my ecu is burned out, or my chip got messed up??? also wouldn't a bad map sensor cause a cel? we checked everything so far, like timing, fuel pressure, vacuum EVERYTHING!! anybody else has ideas??
what CEL do u have? might be a bad map sensor. chips dont really go bad. check the ground on the themostat
