I have a 2000 Civic Si (em1) with koni yellow struts and ground control sleeves. I have less then a finger gap and am thinking about getting a set of GC extended tophats for the front struts. I like the idea of having an extra inch of travel with the extended tophats.

I am running a stock front strut bar and am wondering if the extended tophats will interfere with the stock strut bar, or if I will need to modify the bar?

have you looked?
i mean the top hats aren't very complicated, and there are plenty of pictures available, look at your bar, look at the picture of the installed tophat, and theres your answer.

 

Don't be an ***, you sound condescending. I know what they look like and I've looked at the stock mounts and the strut bar. Looks like it may hit part of the brace of the strut bar. Without knowing exactly how high and the outside diameter of the extended mount, its impossible to say they will fit or not. Some one has to have the mounts with a stock si or gsr strut bar.

 

A friend of mine has my old suspension, gc/koni with extending top hats with a ITR strut bar and it fit fine....

You probably should have posted this in the Suspension forum...

 

a extended top hat will not interfer with the strut bar cause its mounted differnt if the strut bar mount over the top hat now u will have a problem
