Miller econotig/syncrowave 200?
which would be better for me? im starting off with welding looking to do mostly exhaust work and maybe a few manifolds and intercooler piping.
which would be better for me? econotig or syncrowave? i know the syncrowave has more output but the econotig takes up a lot less space and is cheaper. i was really looking into purchasing the syncrowave200 runner but this little box (econotig) really grabbed my attention. help a brotha out!

You'll really like the sync 200. I lust got rid of mine last week, I got 175 bucks less than I paid a year ago.
Only reason for upgrading was the big aluminum jobs I do, and the ability to hump it to a site periodically. For those reasons, the dynasty 350 is for me.
The sync 200 is really smooth, great adjustability, ease of operation, etc.
The runner package is a good buy.
Good luck.

The econotig will require about 20 percent more power draw for the same amperage welding. I use to blow a 30 amp breaker on 130 amps and could be fine with that same 30 amp breaker and 160 amps on a Sync200. It also has a crude and very heavy minimum amperage start like 35 amps. I would stay away from it...
