Default 91 accord - has power - wont turnover, dead

91 accord 2 door exR

-key in
-turn key, its got juice.. everything lights up like normal
-turn once more to start, dead..

Obviously I can take out the starter and put in a new one..

BUT;

Is there anything else common on these cars that may cause it not to turn over at all?

Its weird because the starter hadn't shown any signs of failure.. not like it slowly died or something.

want to test it right? get a hammer hit the starter several times then crank and see if it runs, if its a starter you can find the contact off ebay and replace your self instead of buying a whole new starter i saved over $100 bucks and cranks like a dream, lettme kno if u need the website he may still be selling them.

chk battery cables for corrosion or looseness.. dead battery ??
also make sure there is power at the solenoid wire at the starter when someone else tries to start the car ,, should get 12 v, and always direct power to the wire coming from the pos battery cable to starter

if you get power on both . most likely you got a bad starter
