K20Z1 SUPERCHARGER
Okay, this is a repost because I might get some more information in the RSX area than I did in the EG area. I've got a 95 Civic Si with a 2006 RSX-S (K20Z1). I'm running an AEM cold air intake, Hondata K-Pro ECU, R-Crew header. I'm interested in putting a supercharger on it, but Jackson Racing only offers a 'street kit' not the race kit that they offer for the 2002-2004 Type S. My understanding is that the only difference between the 2002-4 and the 05-06 for my application is a difference in cams, throttle body and crank pulley. If I convert my 06 to a 2004 pulley shouldn't I be able to go with the 'race' version of the charger? Yes, yes, I'll need some tuning with the K-Pro. Oh, I almost forgot, I utilizing a 2004 engine wiring harness and ECU. For those that are familiar with the swap, I've switch the clutch casing to a 2004 as well in order to pick up the speed sensor. Everything works as it should (stock like, only better). Finally to all you K20 folks, I had a B18c and I'm really enjoying the 6 speed trans. with my type R LSD. Really nice gearing. Yes, the cost is more, but I think it's worth it to do a K20 swap. My friend was going to do a B18C5 and after one drive in my stock (non-LSD) K20 he was hooked. Thanks in advance for your informative replies.
