A/C Problems SOMEONE PLEASE HELP.
I have a 96 Honda Accord LX, my a/c keeps on blowing hot air, it wont turn on or off so I took out the fuse for the heater in my car and my a/c compressor is hard wired directly to my battery in order to turn it on its all messed up any Ideas on where to look for the problem so I dont have to pay someone $100 to tell me something I already know (Yup, Something is deff. wrong with it)?
Way too confusing to help you. Yor A/C blows hot air? Does it mean that you turn the AC , the compressor works but the air comes out HOT or not cold enough?
There is no fuse for the heater, heat works by having hot coolant go though the heater core, no fuse there. You hard wired the AC directly to the battery? bad idea. If you are low on refrigerant that could damage the compressor which is why there is a low pressure switch that won't allow the compressor to engage if there is not enough refrigerant.
It seems to me that you would be better off having someone qualified fix your AC for you. You might do more damage than good.

My air conditioner blows hot air also. But, I haven't had the time to actually take a look at mine and try to fix it. First I'm going to try and recharge it and see if that does anything.

i think he might mean he took out the fuse for the blower.
and why would you ever hardwire it? so you'd have to get out and pop the hood and disconnect it when you were done driving?
