OK guys heres an easy one for you, i just purchessed a 1991 integra 2 door 5speed , its got a B16a swap in it looks to be stock minus th e cold air intake and cat-back exhuast. The problem starts when i take it to the smog shop and it wont pass and they give me a list of things they say are wrong , fuel delievery,spark control,timing,fuel evaporation system, map sensor,vacuum sensor, coolant temperature sensor, oxygen sensor, and some others but to me it sounds like the wrong computer. Is it possible for the b16a vtec to run with the 1991 integra computer ? when i drive the car it seems fine but i cant tell if vtec is working, though it revs to 8000 . SO maybe someone can tell me how to idenify what computer i'm running or where to start looking for my problem. Thanks for the help!

 

First off... Give us the results of the test.

Second don't believe everything they tell you.

Third get a second opinion which is why you are here.

I think he was suggesting you have them checked out. But on Honda's it is for the most part pretty simple. We have the basic emissions equipment only.

So get us the results of the test that we can read, also include all the numbers too
and we will go from there. Have you replaced anything yet? Give us a list of what you have done too.

 

ok when i took the car to the smog place they didnt even run a smog they said the car was unable to stablize so they said there was no use in running a smog . I haven't changed any parts on the car since i bought it and it looks to be a stock b16a swap besides the cat-back exhaust and weapon-r cold air intake. I dont know what to do is there any thing i can try or do to fix this problem? Any help would be great i just want drive this thing!
