Default speedo and cruise just stopped 6th gen 4cl.

was just driving a few mins ago. speedo and odometer/cruise just stopped working for no apparent reason.

what do i do first? check? so weird and has never happened before.

engine and car have 250k. normal?

tach works fine(correction)

yes i do and the car idles super super low.

recommend adv auto vss or autozone or used oem? worth saving money on these or true oem?

I personally would suggest going OEM, it's about $100, you'll just know that it'll last you a bit longer, I replaced mine awhile back troubleshooting my problems.

oem for sure. autozone is probably not new and is remanufactured.

i checked autozone and costs like $71 with 1 year warranty. havent checked oem.

know of any sites to check oem parts cheaper than dealer?

not really, best bet is the accord faq and go to the dealerships in there

hondaautomotiveparts.com etc

I think it's about $100 new OEM

I had a VSS go out on mine..it was code 13..I recall? anyway I went to a junkyard and boutght a used one for 25 bucks...and been working now for 1 1/2 years....I wouldn't go to the dealer cause they rape you on simple parts like this....i say junkyard ftw..
