fuel filter????
i got a 1998 hatch, and im kind of confused, i am unsure of myself on where the fuel filter is, people has been saying that it can be in or near the fuel tank, or under the engine, or the fire wall (next to the battery, but is that the fuel pressure regulator?) i nevered own a honda before, this is my first one, so any advice on to where it is, so i can swap it out would help. THANKS.
the fuel filter is back by the firewall. im not 100% sure where on your car it is on your car but it will be on the firewall. get a haynes book or look it up on this forum.
It's the black cylinder in the flimsy clamp on the firewall next to your battery. There's a fuel line coming from it. Be sure you don't lose either of the washers when you remove the line from the top of it
It's on the firewall next to the battery.
They'll be a hose going in the bottom from the fuel tank and one coming out of the top.
The the fuel pressure regulator is actually bolted on the fuel rail. So if you follow the hose coming out of the top it will lead you to the fuel rail. The FPR will have a vacuum hose on the top of it that is attached to the intake manifold.
it would be #1 in the diagram.

Fuel rail is #7 and the FPR is #8 shown below.
