Yeah, just cut the plugs off the obd1 dizzy and off the obd2 dizzy and wire the plugs from the obd1 dizzy to the obd2 dizzy, its the same colors on the two dizzys

I used my old cx dizzy on my y8 head. I think all you need is a non-vtec dizzy.

If your going to swap in a y8 to your EG your going to need to wireup a obd1 vtec dizzy, Just swap the plugs off the obd1 dizzy to the obd2 dizzy and wire in vtec from the ecu to the motor.

look try not to use other motor pieces with other motors unless you are gonna Hrybrid out motors cause you will need to mess with the ECU to make **** work right with diffrent pieces on a motor you need the right mapp to run the motor right Do you read honda tuning at all ???

ummm ok..thanks for the help...didnt really get your answer becuase a lot of honda parts are interchangable.. therefore i dont see why a dizzy will change my mapp and mess with my ecu..but thanks tho!

Yup I'm sure of it b/c my car is running and I dd it everyday. My cousin and I did the swap to my car. All I did was wire up vtec and the pressure switch to my p28. We pulled my old dizzy out of my cx motor and bolted it onto the y8 head. I believe any non vtec obd1 dizzy will work on that head (that's why you can't use a z6 dizzy).

well i would think a z6 dizzy would work on a y8. it's pretty damn close to the same engine. the bolt patterns on the distributors is a little off so you will have to use a distributor for the y8. you can splice your wires or get a jumper harness to do the job for you. they cost about 20 bucks

ummm honda parts are interchangeable...

i run a y7 block with a y8 head with a z6 intake manifold and an a6 tranny. No problems and will see 400 hp soon.

yes its completely built block.

it will work but you wotn be able to directly bolt it on. buy a dizzy jumper cable for 25 bucks or splice in teh wires yourself.
