Supercharged EP3...
I am greatly considering this... All who have done so please leave comments about why this is a good idea.
I assume the car gets pretty damn quick. Right after I buy my EP3 my bastard friend has to one up me with a WRX... It sucks having to down shift like crazy to beat him. He just leaves it in 3rd and I BARELY gain on him.
I am not doing this just to beat my friend. But it would be nice knowing I can do so.

I have supercharged my ep3, and its great its like having a bigger motor in your engine bay. The great thing about have a supercharger is of course the power. In my particular setup I have a Rotrex kit. It is a top mounted supercharger kit design in the Uk for the Ep3 ctr. Because of our stock engine incapablities i limited my rev range to only 7.7k rpm. The kit is design to reach max potential at 8.7k rpm, but in any case i was able to reach 270whp and 200trq with the kit. It is like night and day with the available power band. I have gone to the track and produce pretty good results in my own opinion with the limited track time and supporting mods i had at the time. I have had plenty of outstand freeway runs with some other f/i cars such as eclipse turbo/lotus esprit turbo and some up hill climb fun with a porsche who was totally taken by surprise. I cant speak for the other supercharger owners as far as roots style Jackson racing supercharger whichs is avaiable at the moment. But the Rotrex kit is a great kit and will probably more then enough for you to take your buddy at a roll. Pm if you have any other questions about it. or click on link in my sig.
I have the Jackson Racing Kit (reflash no KPro) on mine. I have about 98,000 on the car and I like the reliabilty of this set-up. I did the I/H/E first and then added the kit with around 50,000 or so on it. I've never tracked it or dyno'd it, you get power quick and all the way through..... Good luck
Oh hell no. Anything from the line is not even worth trying for. I just spin. The only times I have been able to hang with him are going from a roll at like 40 or so.. Even a roll at like 20 I don't have a chance. Second he hits boost it is all gone.
Since he redlines at like 6200 I can get an extra edge on him with downshifts from the roll. My car has intake, header, full exaust. His is stock.
Don't think I am trying to one up my car for something that it is not. I know how fast those bastard WRXs are.
