When installing the oil pump onto the crank, the inside of the oil pump hole where the nose of the crankshaft goes through, has a flat grove and then across from it there is a flat groove with a semi circle notch. Does that flat grove with the semi circle notch go over the side of the crankshaft nose where the woodruff key sits? I forgot which side is which when i took it off a month ago.

As far as I know, it doesn't matter how the notch lines up... Unless someone else knows something I don't. I've never seen anything regarding this online or in the Helm.

 

(bump) Anyone know the answer to this question?? I'm installing an oil pump and i dont want to get it wrong =/
